Status pages
Static status pages on a CDN: components, incidents, maintenance and subscribers.
Heimdall builds each status page as static HTML plus a status.json file and uploads it to object storage behind a CDN. Visitors never hit Heimdall itself, so the page keeps working even if our control plane is down.
Components
A component (“Public API”, “Dashboard”) is mapped to one or more monitors. Its state and 90-day uptime bar come from those monitors. Pages rebuild on every change and at least every 5 minutes.
Incidents and maintenance
Publish an incident from its incident page, then post updates as Investigating, Identified, Monitoring and Resolved. Scheduled maintenance windows are shown in advance and silence monitoring for the affected monitors.
Address
Every page is served at a Heimdall address that ends in the slug you choose; the page’s settings show it. Serving a page at your own domain is planned and not available yet.
Subscribers
Visitors can subscribe by e-mail and receive incident and maintenance updates. Subscriptions use double opt-in.
